Project Background

Reliable electricity is critical for healthcare facilities, where uninterrupted power is essential for medical equipment, patient care, refrigeration, lighting, and daily operations. In many parts of Uganda, however, grid instability and power outages continue to pose significant challenges to healthcare service delivery.

To improve energy reliability and reduce dependence on conventional backup generation, a healthcare facility in Pamba, Uganda, partnered with SAJ and AM Power to deploy a clean and resilient energy solution. The project integrates a 50 kWp solar PV system with SAJ’s CHS2 all-in-one hybrid energy storage system, providing a stable and continuous power supply for critical healthcare operations.

With its integrated design, intelligent energy management capabilities, and seamless coordination between solar, battery, and grid power, CHS2 enables the facility to maintain reliable operations while reducing energy costs and environmental impact.
